A boy, named Tyrel Nelson, experiences traumatizing harassment everyday. Bullied and beaten down by everyone he knows including his younger step- brother, Andy Green, his childhood friend and first crush, Alexia Davis, and all his classmates. He tried to tell his parents, teachers, and principals. However, they all either ignore his cries for help or say the same thing.
“Toughen up and push through it. They only bully you because you allow them to do it.”
One day, he decides to end it all by taking his life. As he points his stepfather’s handgun at his head, a divine being appears before him.
“So… Are you done?” She asks him.
“What?” He said as he looked at her with a blank and confused expression.
She sighs. “I asked... Are you done with this world of yours?” She yelled as she attempted to snap Tyrel out of it.
“I don’t know what you mean, but if you're talking about me committing suicide... then yes. I had enough of this god forsaken world.” He replied.
“Finally, I got some words out of you.” She mumbled to herself. “Anyways! Tyrel Nelson, I have come t-
“Um... Do I know you?” He interrupts her.
“No, you don’t know me. However, I know you very well.”
“How?”
“Alright, Introductions first. I’m Azarel L. Amagiri, Princess of the Jan-gu. Now, the reason I know so much about you is that I’ve been watching you.” She said as she walked closer to Tyrel. Suddenly, she gave him a hug. “You’ve been through so much abuse and not having the power to retaliate. It even drove you to something so horrid like this.” She said motherly.
“It’s alright. I don’t care anymore. I’m just going to end it here.” He said as he pushes away from Azarel. Then, he puts his stepfather’s gun in his mouth and pulls the trigger. The gun went off loud enough for everybody in the house to rush up to his room, but the world just stopped in its place.
“No, it’s not okay! You don’t deserve this kind of treatment. Nobody does. The people around you don’t realize how much damage they did to you. They need to pay for their actions, and that's the main reason why I’m here. To help you get your revenge, but only if you want it.” She said angrily.
“Why would you help me?” Tyrel asked.
“ Because I love you.” She said confidently.
Tyrel looked at her with a blank expression, completely unfazed by her sudden confession.
“You just met me. How could you love me?” He asked.
“You don’t listen well... Do you? I told you I been watching you. I saw everything they have done to you; the bullying, the abuse, the torture, and every time I saw the same thing in your eyes. A beast made of determination and anger. A fighter who wasn’t ready to give up his life. That look is the reason why I fell in love with you.”
Tyrel started to cry and said “ Azarel, please help me. I’m not ready to die, yet.”
She nodded as she opened her arms to him. He went into her arms and received all the love he was looking for.
“I’ll give you everything you’ll need, and you’ll be known as my husband Maal Kishin, Angel of the Vengeful and Chaos. You will gain powers beyond human comprehension, knowledge of the entire multiverse, and immortality. However, with the gain of these abilities, you will lose your humanity and the sense of caring for those who hurt you (your family). Do you still want it?”
Tyrel thought about all the times he was tortured, bullied, and abused. Suddenly, he remembered the kindness Azarel showed him in the past few minutes and smiled.
“Yes, I want to be with you for the rest of m… li...” He said as he slowly fell asleep in her arms.
“Alright… Have a nice sleep, my love. When you wake up, the world will be in for a rude awakening.” Azarel said as she disappeared with Tyrel, leaving a copy of him behind.
Suddenly, the world restarted, and the bullet, fired, killed the copy of Tyrel. Moments later, his parents burst into his room to find their son dead. His mother cries out while his stepdad calls the police. His younger brother, Andy, walked past his room smiling.
“WHY? WHY? WHY? Why did this happen to my boy? He didn’t deserve this.” His mother said as she continued to cry out.
His stepdad ignored her and walked out of the room to wait on the police.
“Stupid boy, you didn’t do anything but upset your mother.” He thought to himself.
Ten years later, Maal wakes up in a capsule in the middle of a dark room. He pushed the capsule open, but the top flies off into the wall.
“Whoops,” he thought to himself as he tries to take a step out, but he stumbles and falls forward. However, instead of hitting the ground, he floated.
“Huh, convenient.” He said as he stabilizes himself.
He looks around and sees if anything is familiar. Unfortunately, he saw nothing familiar. The lights turn on and a black suit is hung up on a rack with a note on it.
“Good morning, sweetie. Put on this suit and come to the top floor. I’ll be waiting there. A,” it read.
He immediately land and puts the suit on the best way he could and rushes to see his wife. He went up some stairs leading to the lobby of a big company and made his way to the elevator. The security guard noticed he didn’t belong and attempted to get his attention, but Maal didn’t give him any thought as he made his way into the elevator.
“We have an unidentified on an elevator. I repeat an unidentified on the elevator.” The security guard said as he made his way up the stairs.
“Wonder what Azarel did to get something like this.” Maal thought as he rode up the elevator up with three other employees. Two of them were men; one was an old drunkard and the other young, but you can’t tell who from who because they both looked exactly the same including the bald heads. The woman looked like she was the same age as the old man. The elevator stopped on the top floor and everyone got off the elevator. They all went to the same door. There, Maal was stopped and confronted by one of the guys.
“See here buddy... I don’t know who you are but how about you leave now. The boss doesn’t want to see a chump like you.” he said as he fixed his clothes as if he expected Azarel to give him something.
By the look of the secretary, he’s her husband.
“Wow, openly speaking of cheating on his wife in front of his wife. Plus, you can tell he beats her. This guy is an idiot and scumbag.” Maal thought to himself, ignoring the man.
Suddenly, the doors swung open, and the boss ran out and jumped on Maal and kissed him passionately.
“I missed you too, Azarel.” He said.
“Not as much as I missed you. How was your nap?” She asked.
“You and I define nap differently.” He said jokingly.
They both laughed. The young guy cleared his throat.
“Boss, is there a reason why you asked us here?” He asked rudely.
“Right! Yes... Come in my office. Alexia, you too.” Azarel said as she got down.
“Alexia?” Maal thought.
They all entered her office and stood in front of her desk. Waiting for her to say something, the three employees grew impatient while the secretary was growing in fear.
“Boss, did you think about my proposal I gave you?” The young guy said.
“Yes, I did think about that ridiculous marriage proposal. As you saw, I’m married to the man beside your father.” She said.
“Mrs. Amagiri, please reconsider our only son’s proposal. He can do more than this simpleton.” The lady said.
“That was unnecessary, Mrs. Green.” She said.
“Wait, mom!” Maal thought as he looked at Azarel. He could tell from Azarel’s smile they were his family.
“Mrs. Amagiri, please take this proposal seriously. My son is truly in love with you.” The old man said.
Maal tried to hold his laughter back, but he couldn’t stop himself. His laughter was so much that Azarel started laughing.
“Boss, please control yourself. And you, boy toy, why are you laughing? Afraid I’m going to take your only love.”
Maal stopped laughing and asked, “Now, why would I be afraid?”.
“I’m more of an elite than you? In public and private.” He said arrogantly.
“Wow, you’re gross,” Maal said as he walked closer to Azarel. He leaned over and whispered in her ear “What’s your plan?”
“This.” She whispered back. “I actually called you all here to introduce you to your new boss, my husband, Mal Kishin.” She said.
“What?” They all said.
“Boss, What qualifications does he have to run this multi-trillion dollar company.” The young guy asked.
“First of all, you need to show respect to him. Second, He’s the reason why this company exists. He is more qualified than anyone of you.” Azarel said.
“Um... Mrs. Amagiri, you said you two are married but your surnames are different. Why is that?” The jumpy secretary asked.
“That’s because he been asleep for years. The world used to know him as Tyrel Nelson.”
Everybody looked at them paralyzed by fear and guilt. His mother and Alexia fell to their knees crying their eyes out.
“Boss, Whatever joke you and your boy toy, over there, are playing. We aren’t playing with you.” The young guy said as he comforts Mal’s mother.
Maal got up and knelt beside Alexia, seeing her husband wasn’t comforting her.
“How are you, Alexia? Parents doing okay. Your mom still trying to cook.” He asked.
She nods.
“Hey! Remember that time she made us sandwiches, but instead of regular sandwich meat, she used that leftover meatloaf she cooked the night before. As soon as she wasn’t looking, we would throw them to the dog.”
Alexia stopped crying and looked at Maal with mixed emotions overwhelming her.
“Tyrel, is that really you?” She said hopefully.
“Finally, somebody that recognizes me,” Maal said as he got up and walked behind the desk. Azarel moved and let Maal sit down while she sat on the desk.
“So, how has my family been for the past ten years.” He asked.
“Shut up, boy! Don’t you see that a mother is still in pain from losing her son ten years ago due to accidental suicide, and you two make a joke like this.” The old man said.
“Andrew Green married my mother when I was thirteen. His son, Andy Green, did everything in his power to make my life horrible. He even started dating my only friend and first crush, just to spite me.”
Alexia looked at Maal as if she was surprised to hear his confession.
“I don't know what you’re talking about. My stepbrother died before I got the chance to get to know him. Also, I never met you before.” the young man said.
“Andy! Wow, look at how much you’ve grown, and working for a multi-trillion-dollar company. Congratulations.” Maal said sarcastically.
“Boytoy, Stop this nonsense. Stop talking as if you know us. Stop talking about my departed stepbrother. You’re crazy, and it’s rubbing off on the boss.” the young man said.
“You’re right. I haven’t known you for ten years. So, how about we have a big family dinner… just the six of us. Let’s say at Mr. and Mrs. Green's house at 6 tonight. No need to cook, we’ll bring everything.” Maal said while smiling maliciously.
